The parallels between watches and motorsport are noticeable. It’s a question of scale, precision, and power. Since 2011, the unmissable partnership between Hublot and Ferrari has seen the birth of many exceptional pieces – the Big Bang FerrariMP-05 LaFerrari or Techframe- symbolizing the excellence and performance of these two prestigious houses. The collaboration also takes place at the level of experience where the values of both brands - their art of living - are highlighted. Passion, performance, elegance, and culture are on the program.

Passion as the common denominator

Twenty Ferrari owners from all over Europe gathered in Saint Andrews, Scotland for 3 days of adventures. Equipped with the Hublot Classic Fusion Ferrari GT Titanium, Watchonista followed them in this intense road trip across the small Scottish roads. The first observation is that a fiery passion burned in everyone present.

Ferrari Passion of course, but also a passion for fine watches, good food, and culture too. It's like a big family that is found in the joy and the desire to share. The atmosphere is warm. There are old, new, and, well, many beautiful Ferrari in the parking lot of the hotel with Hublot adorning wrists! After lunch at Errol Park, the big caravan goes to discover the small and hilly green roads all around.

In the villages of Saint Andrews and Cupar, all heads turn to this colorful procession and loud, beautiful mechanics with engines roaring, much to the delight of the children that ran out to admire the parade. The passion is reflected both outside and inside the car. Such a gathering awakens the passionate child in everyone ... similar to meetings of watch collectors. Everyone admires the "jewel" of the other and dives into the technical details, finishes, and performance of the fast cars and luxury watches. The discussions were fiery, joyous, and captivating.

The power of design

The next day, in front of the hotel, the 25 Ferraris are waiting for their owners and drivers. A real magnificent medley of fluid lines, sensual curves, profiled fascias and rear-ends cut for performance. Ferrari's lines were clearly present in the case design of the Hublot Classic Fusion Ferrari GT, designed by Flavio Manzoni, head of the Centro Stilé Ferrari.

A totally innovative design with a dial that seems suspended in the center of the middle of the 45mm case. The bezel is secured by four screws on one side and the axis of the crown and pushers on the other. An empty space is visible all around the dial accounting for the feeling of fluidity and lightness that is found in the lines of this particular case.

The lugs are short and are similar to the fairing of a Ferrari car. Specifically, they are hollowed out to resemble the air vents at the back of the beautiful sports machines. There is character and finesse. Power and elegance. Watchmaking and automotive design. We are completely in the world of 'Gran Turismo' – racy, elegant, and powerful.

Like a transparent hood, the crystal and the sapphire case reveal the complexity of the UNICO HUB 1281 caliber. High precision watchmaking concentrated in a 13.5mm thick case, featuring a self-winding Flyback chronograph and column wheel. In total there are 354 components with 72 hours of power reserve and a 10 ATM seal.

The performance speaks for itself and on the wrist too. Watch aficionados here are not wrong when they say that the most difficult choice is to decide in which material the timepiece is the most remarkable: light gray titanium with a microblasted textured black carbon fiber 3D or 18K rose gold (18K gold and platinum mix). Ultimately, questions of style, mood, and occasion will be the deciding factor.

Elegance GT

In the evening, before dinner, a surprise awaited us in our rooms : a kilt and instructions on how to put it on – which were most definitely necessary – sat on the bed! An hour later, all the guests met for a traditional Scottish dinner in Saint Andrews! All the elegance of the GT universe! The Classic Fusion Ferrari GT in King Gold perfectly complements the details of the traditional outfit.

A real fusion like Hublot loves! The guests then tried out another exercise: traditional Scottish dances. The evening closed on the sounds of furious violins, feet pounding on the floor, slamming hands, and bursts of laughter.

The last day ended in grandeur, with a surprise trip to a military base turned into a race track. Passenger and driver, each push the performance of Ferrari Portofino to the maximum. The Hublot Classic Fusion Ferrari GT chronographs panicked. Then the owners can gauge on a 400m departure stopped in a fury of pistons.

The atmosphere was relaxed, but the spirit of competition is present. Feeling like a real schoolyard competition where we tease and challenge each other happily. A world that merges the seriousness of technical performance and childlike joy. Decidedly, the Fusion is everywhere with Hublot.

This experience was a real dive into the world of Hublot and the Ferrari Gran Turismo. A world of performance and style. The true art of living where the love of beauty, tradition, culture meets automobile, and watchmaking. A world of elegant excellence. Through these unique experiences, Hublot and Ferrari strengthen their ties, delight their happy owners, and makes countless watchmaking enthusiasts dream. This is the Hublot universe.
